Obituary for Billy Griggs Poston, Jr.

Billy Griggs Poston, Jr., 58, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was the only son of the late Billy Griggs Poston and Martha Starnes Poston. Billy was a Jack of all Trades. He could fix anything. He loved the outdoors. His passion was working and restoring old cars. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling to the mountains.


He is survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends.


The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 4, 2022, one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Adam Wright will officiate. Burial will follow in the Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105


Arrangements are under the care of Baker Funeral Home.
