Billy Davis Rickman, 69, of Liberty Hill, S.C., passed away, Friday, November 25, 2022, at his home. He was born October 12, 1953, in Bedford, VA. He was a son of the late Alton Davis Rickman and Irma June Carlton Rickman. Mr. Rickman was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ann Kennington.
Billy was a retired veteran from the United States Army. He loved his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching the South Carolina Gamecocks. Billy worked part time with Sports Connection in Camden.
Surviving is his loving wife of 18 years, Judy Rickman; children, Rebecca Cooper (Chris), Angel Morris (Blake), Billy Holley (Jennifer); 7 grandchildren and his brother, James Rickman (Becky Jo). Mr. Rickman is also survived by special friends, Kurt Holland, Ty Burns, Patti Kelly and Kenny White.
A graveside service will be held Thursday morning, December 1, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, S.C., with military honors. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box, 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
