Funeral services for Beverly Watts Copeland, 78, of Lancaster, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, January 6, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Carnes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blackmon Cemetery.
Mrs. Copeland, widow of Carlton E. Copeland died Wednesday, January 3, at her home. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late John and Lillie Mae Ratfaldt Watts. She was a former employee of Springs Industries and a former newspaper carrier for the Lancaster News. She enjoyed fishing, camping and riding on the pontoon boat. She also had attended Charlesboro Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 grandchildren, Max Vaughn, Tabitha (Michael) Carnes and Lee Copeland; 6 great grandchildren, Peyton, Kaleb, Chloe, Elizabeth, Landon and Zoey; 5 sisters, Betty Rollins, Catherine Adams, Mary Gritzback, Margaret Edwards and Sue Mosley and her son-in-law, Bobby Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her 2 children, John Lee Copeland, Sr. and Darlene C. Vaughn.
The family will receive friends, Friday, January 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Copeland may be made to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C.
