Obituary for Betty Roberts Cauthen
Funeral services for Betty Louise Roberts Cauthen, 81, of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, February 7, in the sanctuary of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. The Revs. Pam Ledbetter and Keith Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cauthen died Sunday, February 4, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Langford Roberts and Mattie Bernice Scott Roberts. Mrs. Cauthen retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. She also loved to read and spend time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Paul B. Cauthen of the home, her daughter, Paula C. Massenburg and her husband Eric of Statesville, NC; 2 grandchildren, Meagan Waylett and her husband Cole of Mooresville, NC, Ryan Massenburg and his wife Brooke of Troutman, NC; a great granddaughter, Maddox Waylett and one due March 2018; a sister, Bobbie Jean Coates and her husband Bill of Kershaw and a brother, Mike Roberts and his wife Priscilla of Lugoff. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother, Everett Roberts.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 7, immediately following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
