Obituary for Betty R. Graham
Betty Rhodes Graham, 87, passed away on Friday August 6, 2021. Born March 29, 1934, Betty was the daughter of the late Harrison David Rhodes and the late Mary Ragsdale Rhodes. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her best friend and sister, Dorothy Boiter, granddaughter Brooke Graham, and her beloved dog, Samson. She is survived by her children, Deborah Napper (Paul) of Camden, SC; David Graham (Sue) of Lugoff, SC; and Stephen Graham (Diane) of Bethune, SC; eight grandchildren, Melinda Miller, Paul William Napper, Brian Napper, Scott Napper, Christian Graham, Aimee Graham, Stephen L. Graham, and Ladonna Twitty; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and her “care dogs” Chester and Susie.
Betty’s gift was the beautiful piano music she played. Her greatest wish was that her music would glorify Christ. Betty loved her family, her friends, her church, playing the piano, sweet treats, and above all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She prayed endlessly and obediently for those she loved and anyone who needed it. She was a faithful member of and pianist for Bethany Westville Baptist Church of Westville, SC.
A graveside service will be held at Bethany Westville Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., the Rev. Craigan Blankenship officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Westville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 488, Westville, SC 29175..
