Betty Huckabee Jordan

A funeral service for Betty Lucille Huckabee Jordan, 91, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in the sanctuary of Pineview Baptist Church. Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Springdale Healthcare, Camden, SC. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was a daughter of the late Julius Melton and Lucille Hamrick Huckabee. She retired from North Central High School where she worked in the cafeteria. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

Surviving are 2 sons, Harold Lee Jordan of Lugoff, SC, Randy Stephen (Pam) Jordan of Westville, SC ; a son-in-law, Richard Leinster of Summerville, SC; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and a brother, Julius Melton “Sonny” Huckabee, II and his wife Irma of Westville, SC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Lynn Jordan Leinster and 2 sisters, Mary Huckabee Blackmon and Ruth Huckabee Blackmon.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the church Family Life Center.
