Obituary for Betty C. Beckham
Funeral services for Betty Coates Beckham, 81 of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 13, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Todd Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Beckham, widow of the late Charles Earl Beckham died Friday, May 10, at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late William Clarence Coates and Katie Mary Craig Coates. She was a nursing assistant for many years and a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are 2 sons, Jimmy Roger Risley of Ocala, FL, Jerry Noble Risley of Kershaw; 2 daughters, Rebecca Lynn Burnette and her husband Bill of Candor, NC, Paula Jean Tucker and her husband Rodney of Locust, NC; 2 step-sons, Ray Beckham of Kershaw, Kenny Beckham of Heath Springs; step-daughter, Delores Beckham of Jacksonville, FL; 16 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Paul “Timmy” Risley; 2 sisters, Frances C. Price and Eula Mae Torbush; a brother, Andrew James Coates and a step-son, Charles E. Beckham, Jr.

The family will receive friends, Monday, May 13, one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Beckham may be made to any Christian charity of your choice.
