Obituary for Ben Eason
Funeral services for Ben Alexander Eason, 69 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson, S.C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Todd Horton and Terry Coder will officiate. Mr. Eason died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ben Alexander, Sr. and Clara Allen Eason. Mr. Eason was the owner/operator of Eason’s Music and taught many people guitar lessons. He was a 1964 graduate of Flat Creek High School and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Ola Gainey Eason of the home; his daughter, Pam Horton and her husband, Rev. Todd Horton of Lugoff; his son, Ben Eason and his wife Jodi of Heath Springs; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Horton, Jordan Eason, Hunter Horton, Morgan Eason and Luke Eason; his sister, Virginia Rentz and her husband Bob; his brother, John Eason and his wife Brenda all of Kershaw. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to Lancaster Convalescent Center-Activities Fund, 2044 Pageland Highway, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
