Obituary for Belinda Ogburn Blackmon
A funeral service for Belinda Ogburn Blackmon, 82 of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, August 16, at Hyde Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ogburn, widow of Dan B. Blackmon died Friday, August 14, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Loranza and Ola Holley Ogburn. She worked for Roses Department Store and was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Blackmon was also a member of the local and national Red Cross.
Surviving are two sons, Dean Blackmon and his wife Gail, and Danny Blackmon all of Heath Springs; two daughters, Joanne Sims and her husband Randall of Heath Springs and Doris Roberts and her husband Eric of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a brother, Corinda Ogburn and his wife Coleen of Bethune. She was preceded in death by a brother, Milburn Judson Ogburn and a sister, Vivian O. Horton.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 793 Bailey Rd., Lancaster.
