Obituary for Ardell McKay
Graveside services for Ardell McKay, 76, will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. Todd Montgomery, Larry Plyler, and Thurmond Johnson will officiate.

Mr. McKay, widower of Barbara Ann Whitaker McKay died Tuesday, December 12 in Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late Hoover and Cornealie Watts McKay. He had retired from DuPont and was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. Mr. McKay loved working in his shop, spending time with family, and restoring old cars. He also served in the SC National Guard.

Surviving are his son, Scott McKay and his wife, Jill of Kershaw; granddaughter, Madeline McKay of Kershaw; brothers, Odell McKay (his twin) and Alvin McKay; sisters, Emily Broom, Bernice Young, and Estelle Gray. He was predeceased by sisters, Mae Castille and Mildred Kee; brothers Archie McKay and H.F. McKay.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
