Obituary for Annie Grace Mobley Knight
A funeral service for Annie Grace Mobley Knight, 89, of Heath Springs, SC, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015, in Sonlight Church of the Nazarene, Lancaster, SC. Rev. Jerry Branham and Pastor Cotton Pate will officiate. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Heath Springs, SC. Mrs. Knight, widow of J. Miller Knight died Monday, January 19, 2015, at her home. Born in Kershaw, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Melvin and Lola Catoe Mobley. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. She also raised many foster children and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Surviving are five sons, Jerry (Sandra) Knight of Kershaw, SC, Bobby (Julie) Knight of Kershaw, SC, Keith (Linda) Knight of Lancaster, SC, Danny (Elma) Knight of Jefferson, SC and Chucky (Angie) Deese of Greenville, SC; four daughters, JoAnn Hammond of Heath Springs, SC, Dot (Phil Thomas) Sims of Kershaw, SC, Sue (David) Sullivan of Kershaw, SC and Susie Ellis of Heath Springs, SC; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Bowers, Thelma McCaskill, Jeaneal Robinson, Jeanette Bowers and one brother, “Dub” Mobley. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw, SC and other times at the home, 227 Cauthen St., Heath Springs, SC. Memorials in Mrs. Knight’s memory may be made to Sonlight Church of the Nazarene, 569 Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Frontline Biker Church-Building Fund, 8617 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Kershaw, SC 29067.
