Obituary for Alton Vernon Faile
Alton Vernon Faile, 64, of Heath Springs, S.C., died Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015, in Hospice & Community Care, Rock Hill, S.C. Born in Monroe, N.C., Alton was raised by his grandparents, Spofford and Polly Catoe Faile. He had retired from Springs Industries. Alton also loved to hunt and fish. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Phillips Faile of the home; a son, Stephen Faile and his wife, Melinda of Heath Springs; grandson, J.R. Faile and his four legged companions, Willie and Taco. He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Ann Faile. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. in Blackmon Cemetery (Corner of Hwy 601 and Taxahaw Rd., Kershaw). The Revs. Jeff Williams and Rodney Nicholson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Stephen and Melinda, 2774 Norseman Road, Heath Springs, S.C. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, S.C. 29732. Baker Funeral Home is serving the Faile family.
