Obituary for Tiffany Blair Hewitt
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Tiffany Blair Hewitt, 34, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, August 16, in the sanctuary of Antioch Baptist Church, Lancaster. The Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin and Rev. Michael Owens will officiate. Burial will follow in the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw.

Tiffany passed away Sunday, August 13, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Rev. James Robin and Nancy Payne Hewitt. She received her nursing degree from York Technical College where she excelled in academics and achieved the Dean’s list. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2010. Tiffany worked for White Oak Manor, Springdale Healthcare and Lancaster Convalescent Center where she thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her patients. All the residents loved her big beautiful smile and outgoing personality.

During her time off, she loved adventures and traveling. The highlight of her travels was a trip to Walt Disney World with her daughter, Whitney, the love of her life. It was a wonderful and lasting memory. Her only niece, Hannah, would join Tiffany and Whitney on Fridays for what they called “ Fun-Friday”. The three of them would go to different places just to enjoy the day. She loved to read, attend paint classes, watch old black and white movies and Elvis. But most of all, she loved her family, especially her precious daughter, Whitney.

She lost her only brother, Jason, in September of 2010 and missed him deeply everyday. Her final resting place will be beside him. Even though her life was way too short, she touched many hearts and lives with her bubbly personality and genuine sense of warmth and caring. She was truly loved by her family and will always hold a special place in their hearts forever.

Surviving in addition to her parents of the home are her daughter, Whitney Leigh Hewitt and her niece, Hannah Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Martha Payne, her paternal grandparents, James and Betty Hewitt and her brother, Jason.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Whitney L. Hewitt College Fund, c/o Founder’s Federal Credit Union, 109 East First Street, Kershaw, SC 29067.
