Obituary for Robert Edward Mitchum
Robert Edward Mitchum age 50, of Kershaw, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at his home. Born in Camden, he was a son of Edward E. Mitchum and Charlotte Paul Branham. Mr. Mitchum worked maintenance in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, camping, coon hunting and spending time with his family. He also loved his dogs, Harley and Jiggy.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Karen Michelle Dease Mitchum of the home, 2 daughters, Amanda (Ryan Grist) Mitchum , Brittany (Majeed) Phillips; 6 grandchildren, Aaliah (Joseph) Deas, Blake Adams, Amare Phillips, Amber-Leigh Mitchum, Arianna Phillips and A’Javion Phillips; stepmother, Hazel Mitchum of Rock Hill; 7 brothers, Johnny (Stephanie) Mitchum of Lugoff, Edward (Brandy) Mitchum of Rock Hill, Wesley (Casey) Mitchum of Rock Hill, Steve (Bonnie) Mitchum of Chester, Marty (Sandy) Mitchum of Fort Mill, Daryl Mitchum of Rock Hill and Tommy Mitchum of Rock Hill and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Lawson Branham, grandparents, Johnnie Paul, Betty Sue Hough and Samuel and Claudia Mitchum.
The family will announce and hold a memorial service at their home at a later date.
