Obituary for Odessa Knight Davis
Funeral services for Odessa Knight Davis, 93, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Hinson will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, widow of Horace Lee Davis, who preceded her in death in 1997, passed away, Saturday evening, October 21, 2017. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was a daughter of the late Levy Knight and Mary Elizabeth Vincent Parker Knight. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Most importantly, she was a dedicated wife and mother. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Elaine Davis and 12 siblings.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara Davis Sullivan of Grayson, GA and Miranda Davis Hinds of Florence, SC; 2 grandsons, Brian Robert (Anissa) Sullivan of Winder, GA, Bradley Davis (Eva) Sullivan of Lawrenceville, GA; a great grandson, Riley Sullivan and her compassionate caregivers, Renee McNeal, Quantavia Fortilme, Corina Horne, Lorraine Caughman, Homestead Hospice, Tina Galloway and Angel Daisy.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m., in the church Family Life Center, prior to the service.
