Obituary for Helen A. Faulkenberry
A funeral service for Helen A. Faulkenberry, 90, of Kershaw, will be held at 5:00 o’clock p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Burial will be private in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Faulkenberry, loving wife of the late Fred J. Faulkenberry who preceded her in death December 19, 2016, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Springdale Healthcare Center, Camden. Born in Forest City, NC, she was a daughter of the late Worth Morgan and Annie Belle Lavendar Allen and a step daughter of the late Ethel Deese Allen. Mrs. Faulkenberry retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She loved to bowl, read her bible and work puzzle books. She also had served as Sunday School secretary and sang in the church choir.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Lovetta F. Phillips and her husband Jerry of North Myrtle Beach, Bonnie F. Eubanks and her husband John of Bethune, Marie F. Johnson and her husband Jeff of Camden; 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Dot Sims of Heath Springs, Ann Catoe and Sue Allen both of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dora Ann Allen and Mary Morgan.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and Thursday, June 29, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the home of her sister, Ann Catoe, 125 Blackmon Circle, Kershaw.
