Obituary for Gregory C. Martin
A graveside service for Gregory C. “Greg” Martin, 60, of Westville, will be held Wednesday, September 13, at 3:00 o’clock p.m., in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. David Snodgrass and Craigan Blankenship will officiate. Pallbearers will be David Franklin, Greg Newman, Louie Rutledge, Tim Sanders, Jamie Vincent and William Vincent.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.
Mr. Martin died Sunday, September 10, at his home. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of the late Mayfield Cooper, George R. Martin and Betty Sellers Martin. He was a talented musician, a history buff and enjoyed going antiquing.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Vincent-Martin of the home; his daughter, Melissa M. DeLaTorre and her husband Charles of Camden; his granddaughter, Madilynn Grace DeLaTorre; his sister, Sara Martin of Elgin and other siblings, Rebekah, Debi, David, Nathan all of Conway; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He is also survived by his canine companion, Mr. Bo Dinkles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beth and a brother, Mark.
