Obituary for Ernestine M. Baker
Funeral services for Ernestine Mackey Baker, 76, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Friday, January 26. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker died Tuesday, January 23, at White Oak Manor, Lancaster. Born in Camden, She was a daughter of the late Harold Benny and Loree Cole Mackey. She taught pre-school and kindergarten at First Baptist Church for over 25 years. She loved to travel, shop and spend time with her family. She was a member of New Spring Church, Anderson Campus.
Surviving are her son, Robert Donnie Baker, Jr., of Anderson; her daughter, Christie B. Reeves and her husband Dean of Fort Mill; her granddaughter, Autumn Sydney Reeves of Fort Mill; 2 sisters, Diane M. Vincent and her husband Roger of Myrtle Beach and Carol M. Hinson of Lancaster; her brother, Benny Mackey and his wife Von of Lancaster; 2 sisters-in-law, Wanda and Deborah and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Donnie Baker, Sr. and a sister, Harriett Croxton.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 26, from 1:00 to 2:00 o’clock p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
