Obituary for Ellen Byrd Polson
A service to celebrate the life of Ellen Byrd Polson, 59, will be held Saturday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. in Refuge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Polson died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at her home. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late William and Carolyn Byrd. She loved people, her cat, “Lizzy” and oldies music.

Surviving are her children, Maranda Watson (W.K.) of Columbia, Veronica Wooten of Elgin, Larry Polson (Judy) of Kershaw, Richard Polson (Denise) of Kershaw, Debbie Anderson (Jerry) of Kershaw, and Sheryl Wesolowski (John) of Longboat, FL; 2 grandchildren, Trey Watson (Natalie) of Okahoma City, OK, and Brice Watson of Columbia; sisters, Pauline Elders, and Betty Jackson; brothers, Jack Boone, Aaron Tisdale, Harold Walden, and Richard Byrd. She was predeceased by sisters, Linda McDonald and Mary Ann Martin and brother, Allen Boone.

Memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, 2814 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC 29067 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
